MyStayDays

Terms and conditions

The agreement between us

What you can expect from MyStayDays, what we expect from you, and what happens if either of us wants to stop. Written to be read once and understood, not to be scrolled past.

The short version

  • MyStayDays is a calculator, not an authority. It gives you an informed estimate from the travel you record. It is not legal advice and it is not connected to any border system.
  • The answer is only as good as what you enter. Miss a trip and the figure will be wrong, and it will look exactly as confident as a right one.
  • Your data is yours. You can take it or delete it whenever you want.
  • You can leave at any time. No notice period, no cancellation fee.

Who this agreement is with

These terms are between you and MicroWizard, who operates MyStayDays. They take effect when you create an account, and they apply for as long as you have one.

This version took effect on . If we change them in a way that affects you, we will email the address on your account before the change applies. Carrying on using the service after that is how you accept the new version; if you would rather not, close the account and we will refund anything you have paid for time you will not now use.

What MyStayDays is — and what it is not

MyStayDays takes the travel you record and applies published entry rules to it. For the Schengen area that means the 90/180 rule as set out in the Schengen Borders Code. It tells you how many days you have used, how many remain, the latest date you could legally stay until, and the earliest date you could next enter. It shows you the working behind each of those figures.

It is not legal or immigration advice. We are not lawyers and this is not a substitute for one. If your situation is unusual — a residence permit, a long-stay visa, a bilateral agreement, a pending application — the answer here may not be the answer that matters, and you should ask somebody qualified.

It has no connection to any border authority. Nothing you enter is sent to a government, nothing is retrieved from one, and no border officer will see or accept what this product says. The Entry/Exit System and ETIAS are not built in.

The decision at the border is not ours and not yours. A border officer may refuse entry for reasons that have nothing to do with day counting. We cannot promise you will be admitted anywhere.

What we ask of you

  • Enter your travel accurately and completely. This is the one thing that decides whether the product works. A missing trip does not produce a warning; it produces a confident wrong number.
  • Check anything that matters against an official source. Especially before booking something expensive or non-refundable.
  • Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think somebody else has it.
  • Only record other people's details if you have a reason to. If you add a family member, a colleague or a client, you are responsible for being entitled to hold their information.
  • Do not attack the service. No scraping, no automated abuse, no attempts to reach another customer's data or to disrupt anybody else's use of it.

Accounts, plans and payment

The free plan

Free is free. It covers one traveller, it does not expire, it does not ask for a card, and it is not a trial. It gives you the whole calculation and the whole explanation. We reserve the right to change what the free plan includes in future, but not retrospectively for travel you have already recorded.

The paid plan

Plus costs £25 a year for the whole workspace, whatever number of travellers is in it. It renews automatically each year until you cancel. Prices include any tax due unless the checkout says otherwise.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time, and your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. If you cancel within 14 days of first subscribing, tell us and we will refund you in full. Beyond that, if the product has not done what this site says it does, write to us — we would rather refund somebody than argue with them.

If a payment fails

Nothing is deleted. The workspace returns to the free plan's limits, and everything you recorded stays exactly where it is, waiting for you.

Ending it

You, at any time. Ask us to close your account and we will delete it, including the travellers, trips and documents in it. Closing an account is not yet a button in the interface; until it is, a person does it for you, properly.

Us, rarely and with notice. We may suspend or close an account that is attacking the service, being used unlawfully, or has not paid for a plan it is using. If it is anything short of an active attack, you will hear from us first and get the chance to put it right — and a reasonable opportunity to export what you have recorded.

Or the service itself. This is a young product. If we ever have to stop running it, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, a way to take your data with you, and a refund of any paid time you will not get to use.

Liability, stated plainly

We take real care over this. The compliance engine is tested against worked examples and against the published rules, every figure it produces can be traced back to the days that made it, and where a rule changed we record the source and the date we checked it.

But the answer depends on what you enter, and the consequences of being wrong at a border are yours. We are not liable for a refused entry, a missed flight, a fine, a cancelled booking or any other loss that follows from relying on a figure here — particularly one produced from incomplete travel. Where the law does not allow us to exclude liability, we do not attempt to: nothing here limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We do not promise the service will be available without interruption. We will try, and we will tell you when something has gone wrong rather than hoping you did not notice.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
